Meet Seamus Culleton ...

... he is an Irish national who entered the U.S. under a tourist visa waiver program back in 2009, which allowed him to stay in the U.S. for 90 days without a visa. And guess what? Seamus chose NOT to return to Ireland and has remained here illegally in the U.S. since that time. During the past 17 YEARS, Seamus got married to an American citizen and "runs a construction company." Apparently, Seamus was getting a little antsy about a POTUS actually wanting to enforce our immigration laws, so he commenced a marriage-based petition for a green card and received a "work permit" about a month ago.
Seamus got scooped up by ICE in Boston for being in the U.S. illegally - FOR EFFING 17 YEARS - and he was initially taken to a detention center in Burlington, MA. He received full due process and was issued a final order of removal by an immigration judge on September 10, 2025. Seamus was offered an immediate free flight back to Ireland, BUT he chose to stay in ICE custody. In fact, he took affirmative steps to remain in ICE detention. Seamus was then flown to an ICE detention facility on the Fort Bliss U.S. Army Base in Texas.
Now, at this point in our story, Seamus IS. NOT. HAPPY. You see, Seamus is SPECIAL ... U.S. immigration laws should simply NOT apply to HIM. So, he recently called into an Irish radio show and complained about the "deplorable" conditions at the ICE detention center he has CHOSEN to remain in and that he "fears for his life."
Molly Ploofkins (@Mollyploofkins) ~ "I'm in fear for my life. People have been killed by the staff here."
Seamus Culleton, an Irishman with a valid US work permit, has been held in an ICE detention center for over four months and calls it “a modern day concentration camp.”

Patrick Seven (@Patrick98109645) ~ The incredible bravery it took for this individual to smuggle a phone into this concentration camp so he could do multiple interviews with the press and podcasts from inside ... oh, wait a minute ...

Apparently, someone at CBS heard the Irish radio broadcast and decided to do a propaganda ... uh ... oh, sorry ... a "story" about Seamus' plight.
CBS News (@CBSNews) ~ Irish man Seamus Culleton held for months by ICE says he had U.S. work permit, and now fears for his life.

CBS News did pretend to do some journalism by getting a statement from the administration.
[Assistant DHS Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia] McLaughlin confirmed that ICE agents arrested Culleton on Sept. 9, 2025, calling him "an illegal alien from Ireland" who entered the U.S. in 2009 under the tourist visa waiver program but then failed to depart the U.S. after the permitted 90 days.
"He received full due process and was issued a final order of removal by an immigration judge on September 10, 2025," McLaughlin said. "He was offered the chance to instantly be removed to Ireland but chose to stay in ICE custody ... A pending green card application and work authorization does not give someone legal status to be in our country."
Edub's_Perspective (@Edub4change) ~ He chose to stay in ICE custody instead of taking a free flight back to Ireland.
STRATic-X (@jpd_1) ~ A work permit is not a valid status in the U.S.
Hart Celler (@8USC12) ~ Neither "a valid U.S. work permit" nor "a pending green card case as the spouse of an American citizen" changes the fact that Seamus Culleton is an illegal alien who has been unlawfully present almost two decades after he was admitted as a tourist for 90 days.
Dexter Jordan (@DEXTER_J0RDAN) ~ The work permit is tied to his April 2025 green card application, and has no bearing on his deportation order stemming from an overstay (2009-present). Media outlets are intentionally misrepresenting the "work permit" to mislead readers.

Now here is where Seamus' story takes a little turn for the worse ...

... you see, if Seamus is CHOOSING to stay in a "horrific concentration camp" where "the staff might murder him at any moment," there is a question that is just begging to be asked ~ WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SO DAMN DESPERATE NOT TO RETURN TO IRELAND???

Garreth MacNamee (@garmacnamee) ~ Today, we’ve confirmed that Seamus Culleton who is being detained by ICE in the U.S. was facing three charges relating to drugs offences.

Old Seamus has some drug charges he left behind in the land of his youth. So, he is not only in America illegally, he is a fugitive. How nice.
Perhaps, this is why he doesn't want to go home. Of course, Leftist politicians in Ireland had to smear the United States over his upcoming deportation and they never bothered to mention the drug charges.
Kerry Burgess (@KerryBurgess) ~ The Irish government needs to fix this. Americans are welcomed in Ireland and treated with kindness and respect. This is shameful.

"Shameful," is it Kerry? Americans aren't overstaying your Irish hospitality, and if they are ... and breaking your Irish laws ... I'm damn sure they get booted out of Ireland real quick like. But, you're right ... the Irish government CAN fix this ... it can come pick up Seamus, fly him back to Ireland, prosecute him for his drug offenses, and throw him into an Irish jail.
The Irish government is welcome to send an envoy to pick up Seamus today. They must come rescue their fellow countryman.
Wait, it gets better, though. Irish hypocrisy knows no bounds.
MichaeloKeeffe (@MickOKeeffe) ~ This Nigerian family is scheduled to be forcibly removed from Ireland today after ignoring orders to leave the country voluntarily.
The Oyekanmi's arrived in 2023 and quickly failed their asylum claim. They remained in Ireland and appealed the decision, which was also rejected.
The Dept of Justice offered them a payment of €10,000 and free flights home if they left voluntarily, but they refused.
A forced deportation is scheduled to be carried out today.

While Irish politicians are criticizing the United States, they themselves are set to deport a family after only two years! So, Ireland is allowed to have borders, but the United States is running concentration camps if we enforce ours.
Yep ... the Irish government must be run by the American Democrat Party. Nuthin' but a bunch of two-faced liars who operate on double standards that benefit only them.
