clo-baby is so desperate to show Democrat "gains" that she laughably highlights the special election victory by Chasity Verret Martinez in Louisiana House District 60. Of course, what she intentionally fails to mention are the following facts:
1. The special election was necessary because ... in a bipartisan gesture ... the REPUBLICAN Governor of Louisiana appointed the then-current state representative of LA House District 60, DEMOCRAT Chad Brown, to serve as Louisiana’s Commissioner of Alcohol and Tobacco Control.
2. Louisiana House District 60 has a history of Democrat domination, where even Independent candidates have received more votes than Republican candidates. Republican candidates have typically received less than 20% of the vote in this district.
3. In this special election, Chasity Verret Martinez received 62% of the vote, which is a historically tepid amount for the Democrat candidate in this district, and the Republican, Brad Daigle, received a historically overachieving 38%.
