I will be headed to see him tomorrow. Ihave spoken with him many times as he was going thru college and he seems like he has his head on straight. But managing a large products finishing plant is NOT something he has much experience at. But I do. So does the longtime administrative assistant to my friend. I really feel empathy for his wife.

This has got to be a tidal shock..

I am staying in close contact with the staff there at the company which comprises two women, one who has been there for at least 18 years now and done all the billing and working with their customers. So she would be a huge help..
I am kinda still in a state of shock as HE and I were good friends and did a lot of things together. I taught him stuff he did not know after he thought he knew everything. But, I was about 18 years older.

Such a generous and kind hearted person will be missed. He did a LOT for the poor where he lived like opening up a FREE laundromat for everyone and provided the detergent and fabric softeners for them to use.

He put 20 commercial washing machines in a storefront for the poor of that twon to use. HIS wife and him made over 200 dozed christmas cookies every year and gave them out to the community by walking all the street in December and giving them cookies in gift boxes. His wife is a fabulous baker...

Anyway, I am kinda still processing this as I do not have many real FRIENDS and the closest one I had is now gone.. That is starting to sink in....

I'm truly sorry to hear about that, micro. I think it's great, though, that you're going to help his wife and son. Unless the son is something unusual, he's not going to know how to manage a business. The question is, does HE know that he needs help? Perhaps not.
