I enjoyed watching that movie. It was funny.
My golf days are in the distant past. I gave my professional set of irons and woods to my neighbor's son in law who could not afford a good set. They play every Saturday in good weather.. Its the first time that strong younger fella could actually hold an iron in his hand and feel the weight of the club head. He is now "feeling" the weight of the club and swinging less hard which gives more swing plane control and straighter shots. The distance takes care of its without over swinging..
He has walked over to my driveway and told me how much he likes those irons and my professional model driver.
He now hits straight without over swinging. Its fun to play when ya ain't always making friends with squirrels or orphaning a baby bird..
A very good friend of mine who was a fellow corporation owner in Cincinnati suddenly died this past weekend.. He was a client of mine but we became close friends a long time ago. We have a LOT in common. I know that he has met the LORD in Heaven and I will see him there when I am called on home.
I will see his wife and family in a few days. So its a sad day for me.. His secretary called me this morning to let me know.. I was getting ready to get in my car and drive down to his factory. This was a bit of a shock. Of the two of us, I was the one who should live the shortest amount of time. BUT, GOD'S timetable is in control and not me. I will miss him greatly as will his beloved wife.
She and her sister make about 1000 Christmas cookies each year and box them and give them out to older people and in poor neighborhoods. They also opened up a FREE laundromat to wash clothes at and they provided the laundry detergent and softener as well free of charge. Just kind and wonderfully bighearted people..
