They have to have a backup system to get in with a key in case the biometric electronics go on the fritz.

Hmmm ... wonder if many Virginians will take the bulk of their firearms and ammunition (other than what they immediately need to keep on hand, that is) to out-of-state relatives for them to store?

You’ll be required to store your guns in a Biometric lock gun safe.

If you store them in a key lock safe, a combination lock safe, or a pin pad lock safe, you’ll be a criminal.


I guess the buffoon who wrote this bill didn’t know that nearly all biometric lock safes also have a backup key lock
