Re: “Ararat is there. that is where noah's ark settled on after the flood.”
Noah's ark is an interesting fable, but that's all it is. You shouldn't waste your time chasing it. Turkey has a great deal of fascinating history. Spend your time on it, not on a myth.

The Bible suggests that Noah lived in Mesopotamia. The ark was in the water for 150 days before coming to rest on Ararat. Did you know that Ararat is only 330 miles from Mesopotomia? The ark wouldn't have come to rest there. An unpowered boat would drift a whole lot farther in that amount of times.

Here's what Copilot has to say:

Me: If a boat drifts in the ocean, how far would it travel in 150 days? I know you're just guessing, but that's what I want... your objective opinion.

Copilot: Rough drift speed assumptions:

For a powerless boat in the open ocean, its motion is mostly from currents (typically 0.5–2 mph in many regions). Wind-driven drift can add a bit more, but that range captures the bulk of realistic movement.

Using a conservative range:
- Slow: 0.5 mph
- Medium: 1 mph
- Fast: 2 mph

Time: 150 days
150 days × 24 hours/day = 3600 hours

Distances:
- Slow drift (0.5 mph): 0.5 × 3600 = 1800 miles
- Medium drift (1 mph): 1 × 3600 = 3600 miles
- Fast drift (2 mph): 2 × 3600 = 7200 miles

Best single-number estimate:

A reasonable “best guess” for a random powerless boat drifting for 150 days is roughly 3,000–4,000 miles, with a plausible overall range of about 1,800 to 7,200 miles depending on currents and conditions.

I just found something else really cool to go see while there. Mt. Ararat is there. THAT is where Noah's ARK settled on after the flood..

There is so much ancient Biblical recorded history there in that country. I am finding more new sites out almost weekly as I dig into the scriptures of PAUL'S journeys thru Turkey and establishing Churches there.

I am so pumped about this trip I can hardly wait were it not for needing some Orthpedic help with arthritis in my SI Joint right side of hip.(sacro-iliac) That needs to be ground off. Seeing a new Orthopedic this week about it. A shot is not the answer. It wears off and yer right back to square one. With the amount of walking I need to do over in Turkey I just need this arthritis to be ground off. Put some axle grease on top when done.. lol!!
