Well sire
YOU are having a HEAT WAVE and being southern pussy you have no idea what cold weather really is. It's 17 degrees there. Cheesy Grin

ASK DE what the temperature is at his house...

Before ya do, I'll tell you mine..

IT is 2 degrees F.

I don't know how you boys south of the Mason Dixon line would ever survive... lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a heat wave in Big D right now also..27 degrees F

This is just normal winter for us. Being next to the Ohio River Valley does affect our weather systems and helps a little from those arctic blasts but it also is a huge funnel for all the storm systems from out in the south and west.

I'll be happy to take yer temperature and give you mine or De's.

I would be willing to bet that De's house is exceptionally well insulated in the walls and attic.

mine is..
Next one has tomake sure the major openings like doors and windows are very air tight. So ya do research on the actual gubmint testing of how much air leakage almost all the window brands allowed thru on official gubmint tests.

BUY the very top window which allowed by far and away the LEAST air penetration. it was SEVEN TIMES less than the second best window maker.

And, NO, it was not anything made by Anderson. Who did not place in the top ten..

Research is crucial when trying to keep warm air inside and cold air outside. Dat's what injun ears do. We research da facts and testing results.

So I have no air or cold penetration into my home when da wind blows or its bitter cold outside..

Obviously being in a normally warm climate it rarely affects you guys.

But, the doors and windows here make a huge difference on energy bills in the winter months and even in summer with the A/C running. The UNITS run less.

We pay about 35 percent less than before. I am at 70 degrees F inside and its ZERO outside. My Heat rarely runs..

That is why I made sure there was bare minimum air penetration. Doing the candle test tells ya a lot. Put a lit candle in front of a window or yer entry door and see if it flickers when the wind blows.

Mine does not.. It used to..
Anyhoo, iffen De used his researching brain he likely got top TEST proven winders and doors as TESTED by independent agency engineers. At least I hope he did.

Weather Stuff In God's Country

23 Degrees, some snow and a lot of wind. Cable TV working consistently so far. INternet has been up and down all day. I will be in and out all day as well. Mz ribit says I will not be in and out all day that I will most likely not be in and out at all. Woman has no respect for me, a king who rules by divine right. I blame Hillary.
