You'd be wrong!

I shoveled the driveway by hand for 2 hours before sunset both yesterday and today. It's not a good idea to wait until the end of a storm to start your shoveling. That two hours got me a path from the house to the barn... a path exactly one snow shovel wide and going halfway down the driveway. When I wasn't shoveling the driveway, I was constantly shoveling the back yard for the dog. He's got a pretty good dog run out there now - with high walls! I had to put all that snow somewhere....

Tomorrow I'll pull out the snow blower and hopefully clear the driveway. There's no telling, though. It's gravel, and it's easy to suck in a stone and jam the thing.

Another storm is coming Saturday, did you hear? I don't think you or I have anything to worry about. It's supposed to start in Georgia and head through the Carolinas and even D.C., but it'll move out to sea before reaching us. I wouldn't want to be ribit right now! Grits sell out quick whenever there's a Southern snowstorm.

You beat us, micro. It's still snowing (7 PM Monday), but in less than an hour it should be done. Here's the before-and-after on the measuring stick I set up. Looks like 13 inches to me... but there was an inch or so to begin with, so I'm going to call it one foot.

I'm not surprised that we have less than you. Lebanon is about an hour north of us and it had 3" less than us. Towns an hour south had 3" more. So we didn't catch the worst of storm. Perhaps you did.

Your 15 inches... is it entirely snow? Or did you get any ice? We were fortunate with that. No ice. It's nice, powdery snow - the kind that makes for easy shoveling unless you've got a ridiculously long driveway like somebody I know.
