The item below provides a narrative of what happened. As I described above and as the video that I posted shows, it appears that one of the agents had disarmed Pretti BEFORE the shooting started. At the moment that the first shot was fired, which appeared to be in his back, he was no longer a risk to anyone. And it's also looking more and more like that they had no idea that he even was armed until they had him on the ground and an agent found the gun and removed it from him. And the report is now that 10 shots were fired by at least two agents.
Here's a video which appears to show an ICE agent removing the victim's gun from perhaps a back holster (you can see where someone pulled up his shirt/jacket) while he was being wrestled to the ground by the other agents. The agent with what appeared to be the victim's gun was walking away, with his back turned, when another agent opened fire, shooting what some people have reported, were are least 10 rounds.
Also keep in mind that just seconds before this, the victim had been pepper-sprayed in the face when he came to the aide of a young women who had been shoved to the ground by one of the agents who eventually wrestled him to the ground.
