“Squad” Rep. Ilhan Omar claimed her son was pulled over by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on Saturday to probe his citizenship.
“Yesterday, after he made a stop at Target, he did get pulled over by [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement] agents, and once he was able to produce his passport ID, they did let him go,” Omar (D-Minn.) told WCCO, a local radio station.
She noted that her son “always carries” his passport as a precaution. ...
And then, Tampon Timmy Walz got in on the "outrage" ...

Now, Tampon Timmy - being the retard that he is - not only doesn't know how to load a shotgun, he doesn't understand that driving one's vehicle in excess of the posted speed limit is NOT "following the law." You see, it came out pretty quickly that the young Omar was pulled over for speeding.
And, in addition, it is germane to point out that even Ilhan Omar unequivocally states that her son was not detained and quickly told to go on his way.
But, all that being said, my first reaction was, "What the heck ... why would ICE be pulling over speeders for traffic violations? THAT wouldn't seem to me to be a good use of their time!"
Well, ICE has now responded ...

As Twitchy readers know, Tim Walz was on X yesterday, accusing ICE of racially profiling and targeting Ilhan Omar's son when they pulled him over. He went so far as to claim the young man was not breaking the law ... although we later found out he was speeding.
Gosh, last time we checked, speeding was against the law.

Even when we wrote it, things didn't feel right beyond even the blatant lie from Walz. Does ICE really pull people over for speeding?
Yeah ... IMHO, THAT was the REAL $64,000 question in all of this.

Turns out this whole thing was a damn lie. We know, you're shocked that someone who would lie about marrying her brother would lie about such a thing for political points, but here we are.

Yep ... 99.999999% probability that Omar's son was pulled over for speeding by a local cop, who then routinely asked him for his identification - a customary procedure that was absurdly transformed (for political reasons) into some kind of "stop to check citizenship papers by the Gestapo."
