Excellent rebuttal. Appreciated. There are some other very serious problems with Gtok's critique of my 'take'.

I may or may not follow up with Grok in addressing those issues. You had Snopes and Politifact listed as sources used by Grok in your dealings. If they were used in what Grok critiqued for me, I did not catch it.

I’d like to point out that GROK is left leaning. So one needs to be wary of what response it gives ya. I asked it about housing and migrants and got the same pro immigration answer that were posted here. I also saw that the references GROK used were PolitaFacts, Snopes and the Wall Street Journal. (Leftest, Screwballs, and Chamber of Commerce). Not exactly balanced sources.

I see reports of 40 to 50 million “newcomers” being brought into the U.S. over the past 4 years by “our” government.
About 10 million new people a year. And a shortage of 3 to 7 million housing units per year. Those people live in housing that is meant for American citizens. Do the math. No doubt this contributes to the housing shortage. Supply & demand drives cost. Short supply rises cost.

And government subsidies also increase costs by providing an unlimited money supply. I saw a report a couple days ago about how over 80% of foreigner born in Minnesota are receiving housing money from the government. The Feds give NGOs billions of dollars to provide housing for these people (AKA invaders).

Inflation is caused by the Government.
The government pumping billions into the money supply for housing inflates the cost of housing.

Look up government subsidized higher education and the cost of college.

It’s not fair or accurate to dismiss foreign born newcomers as a cause for housing shortages and rising housing costs. Doing so only supports the pro immigrant agenda

BTW the 40 to 50 foreign born does not count illegals. It’s only refugees,Visa holders and migrants.

And my original post was about housing rentals, not purchased
