what nobody is realizing is that the forces of the Army and of The Marines have two distinct and separate missions and means to accomplish a directive.

We are NOT in competition with one another. We have differing ways of accomplishing goals and objectives and
both are needed. There is no jealousy between forces when out in the field of battle. KILL The Enemy is the objective.

Only numb-skulls who don;t know squat about the two branches would open their mouths proposing the elimination of elite fighting forces..

No sense in having an ELITE FIGHTING force. Heck all the other soldiers are just as good. We don't need ANY elite 'squaddie', duz we uns.

The idgit refuses to understand that 'elite' fighting forces are very much needed, and not everyone can be an 'elite fighter', as the author himself proved by flunking out through a medical discharge.
