But, Yeah.
Patton was probably one of the few Generals in History that could have done what he did.

I think I once read a biography about Patton once. Very interesting reading. It said he was an astute student of history.

What I did see of the video (before I said 'goodbye fool' to the demented dementia patient) that I did not know was that ten days or so before the Germans attacked . . . Patton had an intelligence officer who was truly intelligent and had figured out what the Germans were up to. And Patton and his staff spent part of those previous ten days planning on what they could do if the Germans 'did something'.

And Patton did the seemingly impossible. He pulled most of his Army out of the line, turned them North, and attacked.
