Well, Let's see.
Patel 'sold' the massive move across the street to new quarters, by emphasizing how crappy the current working environment is so hazardous that 'nets are up to protect folk from falling chunks of concrete' and the move will 'save BILLIONS of dollars over building a new HQ' - and so on.
He 'sold' that he has 'decentralized' the FBI to 'the field' by transferring 1,000 of 35,000 *65% of which are located in DC" out to other offices. He passes that off as A MASSIVE 'refocusing' of resources to where the crimes really are. Let's see - 1,000 of 65% of 35,000 === 1,000 out of 25,550 === 4.4% redeployment ... A TRULY MASSIVE SHIFT OF FOCUS !!!.
And let's follow some more of the 'substantive answers in this GOOD INTERVIEW ...
Will we know if China cuts delivery of Fetanyl precursors .... answer Yes, within a couple of months ... HOW know ? .... Well, we should see a drop in Fentanyl supply and thru 'intelligence sources' ... WOW, what a revealing and insightful amount of 'transparency'.
Pipe bomber ??? Wait and see - should be some BIG relevations ... but, can't say more.
The interview QUESTIONS were decent.
The responses had damn near ZERO new or insightful information.
I listened to the entire interview.
To say I was extremely disappointed (and angered by the dancing clown show answers) would be just a tad bit of an understatement.
Summary: Patel: "Can't comment on on going investigations, reveal classified information, or un-redact much of anything that might 'intrude on the rights of victims.'
Same old, same old sidestepping wordsmithing bullshit.
