That RED THINGY is Cranberry Jelly.

I andmy son in law and grandson and adult grandkids and my daughters LOVE chilled cranberry Jelly slice about half an inch to 3/4 inch thick.. Chilled in the refridge overnight..

We go through FOUR cans of it...
We're trying something different this year tom ake life easier on miz micro and we ain't wrestling no 24 pound Turkey.

Instead, we bought Turkey breasts which give us over 20 pounds of white meat and can be cooked in as large Slow Cooker to perect temperature. NO muss or fuss and everyone likes the White breast meat anyway.

Just think. No wresting a frozen bird that is say 25 pounds and trying to pick it up from awkward angles and then catty it to the kitchen deep sinjk and wrestle it some more while trying to clean it inside and out.. Them days are over...

A tradioinal Pennsylvania Dutch dish called Copes Dried Sweet Corn is a tradition and even my picky son in law and grandkids have come to really like it.. Its sweet from brown sugar as it is is softened and boiled in a large pot about 6 hours after setting in water to soften over night.. Add BUTTER and plenty of Brown sugar and Milk. bring to a simmer and let cook about 3 hours. Stir occasionally. Add brown sugar to taste..

Its really cook stuff from the Amish..

Aside from that, mygranddaughter hasmastered the art of FUDGE making like ya find at State Fairs. So she will be bringing along three flavors of her world famous hard fudge.. Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Vanilla.

I have offered to open up a candy store where she could sell her fudge and who knows, maybe we could go nationally.. Its really good.

Son in law makes a Greek dessert called Baklava. ( I am sure I mispelled it but its close enough.)

That is all before we get to the multiple PIES in Waiting. Pumpkin, KEY LIME, Lemon Merengue and of course Peanut Butter.

IF ya happen to be the area yer welcome to come.. Always room for friends.

I'll be sick for a couple days after until my intestines get cleaned out but that's how it goes.

Next week is MRI TESTS week for my spine and hip. Something is wrong.. And I don't sleep very well at all with the pain coming out of that sacro iliac area.

It definitely has my attention and hinders me walking a lot.. so I need this remedied. Grind it all away down to bone. Put some grease on it..

...we used to do a favorite thingy's for Turkey Day. Then it kinda fell to the wayside cause micro wouldn't eat anything that didn't have grits in it so it died. It's time to bring it back.

One of my favorites is Green Bean Casserole. Then there is mz ribits cracker salad which is just like potato salad except it has saltine crackers instead of taters in it. Follow that up with that red stuff that comes in a can. Ya get it cold then open both ends of the can and push it out of a plate kinda like dog food, then ya slice it. We are gonna have a ham this year and are saving our turkey for christmas.
