Ahem......

I have nothing against grits in other people's mouths, intestines, organs, stomach's wherever they like to put them.

Jes keep them nasty looking thangs away from me. Even Miz micro won;t touch them with YOUR fork or spoon.

She has better taste than I thought..

While she is The FAMILY cook in charge my son in law has become very proficient with smokers and has a couple of em at his house. We get invited to pulled BBQ feasts with Southern style BBQ sauce. I prefer the sweet but a hearty smoked is purty good too.

We are expecting 14 here for Thursday's all day feast.. We'll eat twice that day and likely again on Saturday early afternoon.

Always glad to have my daughter and family here with her wonderful daughter and my grandson who is a grown man and is a social stidies and History teacher in the same school district my daughter is in and head of the sciences department. I call her "DOC" for short because she has a doctorate in her field from University of Cincinnati whichis why she only teaches students taking college credit classes. She could be a professor but does not want to go to the campus daily.. The School is much closer.

I am the slacker of the clan. I do not possess any Doctorates. I have plenty of Masters in different subject matters but I am not ambitious enough to worry about a PHD when I already own the company and employ people and do business internationally. why do I need a Piled Higher and Deeper diploma. I have spoken with some pretty stupid people with those degrees and wondered of they handed them like candy on Halloween night.

Anway, I wish my daughter in Virginia would come home with her family.. I also wish they did not live where they do. Its increasingly more difficult for us to go visit with them.. We ain't getting younger..

with that said,

From my House to yours,
a Blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving Day is wished for every one of my friends here on this board. Take time to be Thankful and give thanks to the ONE who watches over us and this great nation, and provided a plan of salvation for us all that cost us nothing but cost HIM everything..

Give thanks unto the Lord with a grateful and joyful heart..

My very best to you all,

micro...

...we used to do a favorite thingy's for Turkey Day. Then it kinda fell to the wayside cause micro wouldn't eat anything that didn't have grits in it so it died. It's time to bring it back.

One of my favorites is Green Bean Casserole. Then there is mz ribits cracker salad which is just like potato salad except it has saltine crackers instead of taters in it. Follow that up with that red stuff that comes in a can. Ya get it cold then open both ends of the can and push it out of a plate kinda like dog food, then ya slice it. We are gonna have a ham this year and are saving our turkey for christmas.
