Yeah ... blood feuds can up the ante, somewhat, but that doesn't magically make Michigan the #18 team in the nation, when really, quite arguably, it isn't even in the top 25.

As for favoritism displayed in the rankings ... yes, there is certainly some deference given to the SEC, BUT there is just as much deference shown for the Big 10 AND Notre-frickin'-Dame. The people who truly have a valid complaint about any existing polling bias are the folks in the Big 12, the ACC, and the smaller conferences.

You are forgetting one very important factor is sports Sir Wizard.

It's a HUGE Rivalry game that is decades and decades long. Its a BLOOD FEUD.

There have been some HUGE upsets in this series over the years. THrow the records out. This is all about punching the other guy in the mouth, biting, scratching, andany other dirty tricks ya can get away with..

I know. I've played some games like this for state titles against Moeller High School..

My brother in law kicked the winning field into the blizzard from 42 yards with 3 seconds remaining in the game into the open end of The Shoe.

PLUS, our two top receivers will not be playing from injuries. Those would be the two best receivers in college football.

SO there is lots of potential for an upset to happen.

IF the LINES of Ohio State step up this could just be a three yards and a cloud of dust game..

Anyway, anything can happen in this game. I have watched these in person and in my den for too many decades now.. Its always a scary game but NOT as scary as playing for the Big Ten championship, which will be against INDIANA.

THAT might as well be the national Title Game..

Lastly,

EVERYONE knows the people who vote for the rankings ALWAYS FAVOR the SEC teams. This has been going on for a long time. The majority of people casting votes seem to have been raised in the yella dog democrat country.. No wonder the country is such a mess. Cheesy Grin Laughing
I guess we'll jus have to win the second in a row National Championship to get you on board where the best collegiate football is actually played.... Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing (I knew you'd like that) Laughing
