Goodwill is not really a charity.

There are lots of places one can help that the money donated is simply used for the people that are in need.

Franklin Graham is one example. Ron Hutchcraft ministries has a huge outreach to native Americans.

Realize of course that every organization that does good has costs that must be satisfied for them to continue to do good.

TOYS for TOTs is one that I like because they buy Christmas toys for the poor families and Kids and provide Food for them as well.

Not everyone is a crook. Most are not.. They are legetimate folks trying to help the poor and in need. Thank GOD that someone is helping those people.

I want to be a part of that. A GREAT organization to help the truly needy is MERCY SHIPS.

They transform lives thru surgical procedures for the poor in many countires. Its another organization I support.

The Surgeons donate their time and talent for the needs of others. What a gift they are donating to change someone's life...

So, I have given you a few that you could be happy about and help people with.

Since GOD is the one who has blessed and provided for us it is actually HIS money aney anyway.

He owns it ALL. Both sides of everything on the River, and everything in between.

SO I am just donating a little back to other people that are still created after HIS Likeness and in need.

I always figure that GOD has given me more than I need in order to be a blessing to those less fortunate..

But for HIS GRACE, WE could be one of those who need help from total strangers as well.. I am grateful I am not.

Just some food for thought.. Thumbs Up

Re: “I suppose there are some "charities" that make more money off these things than they give to the poor and needy. I personally do not know of any..
I assume you've heard of Goodwill Industries. Its CEO earns "- in the $750K–$1.2M range." I'd call that a "for profit" business even though it sells itself as a charity. (The main thing it does that resembles a charity is to give jobs to the needy. Of course, that's what any company does.)
