Democrats are pushing the fabricated claim that President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth are issuing “illegal orders” to the military.

It’s a disinformation tactic: invent an inflammatory accusation, and let the media echo chamber promote it. The goal is simple—plant doubt in the public’s mind to delegitimize the administration.

Democrats did this with the January 6th Committee, hiring a former ABC News executive as a professional narrative consultant to script hearings, coach witnesses, and decide which footage the public was allowed to see.

Re: “Elected Democrats just released a video encouraging members of the military to commit treason and DEFY orders from Trump and Hegseth”
It's a curious video because, of course, the military SHOULD defy "illegal orders." But when it comes to the military, the bar for an 'illegal order' is set extremely high. And military law is not the same as the civilian law most people are familiar with. The My Lai massacre, for instance, was an illegal action that soldiers should have refused. But shooting prisoners if transporting them will impede the ability to carry out a vital mission? I'm not sure. My guess is that taking a prisoner conveys a responsibility - so the proper action at times might be to not take prisoners at all and just shoot them. IMO, this would be akin to a naval vessel not stopping to pick up swimming survivors of an enemy ship that's been sunk. Illegal? Probably not always.

The Democrats in the video should have pointed out that refusal to follow an order can be treated as insubordination. Thus, it had better be DAMNED certain that an order is illegal before it is refused.

The Democrats should have stated this in the video and provided examples of what should be refused and what should not. Better yet, they should have offered free UCMJ counseling for those who might have questions. That would have been the responsible thing to do. But since when are Democrats responsible? These Democrats are, as you suggest, prodding our military to resist orders and get themselves into a whole lot of hot water.
