By default, TurboTax saves tax files in the My Documents TurboTax folder.

But somehow I don't think that is right. I'm thinking that it stores the files in the 'program files' sub-directory under turbo tax. But I could be wrong. I'm also pretty sure that there is a save-as sort of thing which brought up the standard file save dialog box where I could choose where to store the pdf file. But that was last march when I was doing all that mess.

I also like to wipe out the drive and use AOMEI to install a fresh un turbo-taxed OS on the computer. Turn on the wi-fi box and allow the computer to access the internet. Install turbo tax and allow it to update . . . Then turn off the wifi and do my taxes. NEVER allowing the computer to access the internet until after I've wiped the drive again.

...saved it as a pdf but can't see it in the File that I see it in when I look, but if I look for it in turbo tax there it is. I think Turbo sent it to the Cloud for safekeeping but I have no idea how to find it. I have religiously avoided getting any "cloud" space.
