...saved it as a pdf but can't see it in the File that I see it in when I look, but if I look for it in turbo tax there it is. I think Turbo sent it to the Cloud for safekeeping but I have no idea how to find it. I have religiously avoided getting any "cloud" space.

Strange.
I usually save the return as a pdf file. Granted, turbo tax does save the file(s) in a proprietary format - which must be opened with turbo tax. But, as I said, I make it a point to save the return as a pdf (which can be opened with adobe pdf reader.)
