Perhaps the greatest fallacy of the whole "our diversity is our strength" nonsense is the idea that people from Third World, or even post-Stone Age, low-trust societies can successfully set aside their culture and upbringing to function as members of a modern nation where their neighbor is a fellow citizen and not prey. Once upon a time, our education system was at least as devoted to developing citizens as it was to gender pronouns. Teachers took kids from rural Sicily, Jews from the ghettos of Poland and Russia, the kids of sharecroppers and coal miners; in fact, they took all comers and turned them into Americans. Then, and I date this from probably the 1970s, the "melting pot" that saw Americans as Americans became the "salad bowl" where everyone was hyphenated and where preserving ethnic peculiarities was seen as a governmental duty, not a parental responsibility.
Where the tradition of vendetta and pogrom never took root under the old system. However, the "multicultural" hogwash and DEI have done in a couple of decades what a Civil War and mass immigration from the mid-nineteenth to early twentieth century could not do. It has succeeded in balkanizing America. It created multigenerational ethnic enclaves that held to the "old ways," with no desire to either assimilate or adapt to American culture. There are places that arrest Christian missionaries (Dearborn Mayor to Christians: 'You Are Not Welcome Here' – RedState) and where young girls are routinely sent back to their native country for genital mutilations (Michigan Descends Into Dhimmitude As Federal Judge Rules Congress Can't Outlaw FGM – RedState).
One of the most notable examples of a failure to assimilate was observed on Tuesday night in Minneapolis. The mayor's race in Minneapolis featured a soft-socialist who had gravely failed the city during the mostly peaceful George Floyd riots, that would be Jacob Frey, against a hardcore socialist who could've been an extra for the movie Captain Phillips, that would be Omar Fateh. Fateh won the Democrat convention through support of the same network of groups that sent Zohran Mamdani, but some very crude vote fraud caused the Democrats to pull their endorsement; see Allegations of Election Fraud Cause Minnesota Democrats to Pull Mayoral Endorsement of Somali Socialist – RedState.
When the smoke cleared, Frey had prevailed 50-44; see Karl Marx Unavailable for Comment As 'Mamdani of Minneapolis' Loses Mayoral Election – RedState. But the real story was that Minneapolis's Somali population that has sent fraudster and bigamist Ilhan Omar to Congress since 2018 did not unite behind Fateh because he belonged to the wrong clan.
Rerum Novarum // Intel, Breaking News, and Alerts (@officialrnintel) ~ ⚡️- A significant number of Somalians in Minneapolis didn't vote for ethnic Somali Mayoral candidate Omar Fateh due to Fateh being part of the Daarood clan rather than the Hawiye. These deep seeded clan wars allowed Mayor Jacob Frey to rally key community leaders from the Hawiye clan to hold off a challenge from Fateh.
Representative Ilhan Omar, who endorsed Fateh and is part of the Daarood clan, is reportedly the next target of Hawiye community leaders as they are emboldened by their proxy victory over the Daarood in the Mayoral election, she will possibly face a primary challenge on tribal grounds.
This may be news to you, but it is not to Ilhan Omar who campaigned for Fateh. Here she is appealing to Somali solidarity in front of an audience that is firmly wedded to clan loyalty.
Amy Mek (@AmyMek) ~ 🚨 Welcome to Somaliastan: The Foreign Takeover of Minneapolis
In the following clip, Ilhan Omar is standing on stage at a political rally for Omar Fateh - another Marxist Muslim running to seize control of Minneapolis.
In this telling speech, she tries to unite the warring Somali clans we’ve imported into our country — yes, that’s right — we have imported foreign wars onto American soil, and those same factions have now seized political offices in the United States.
Omar’s words are not about America. They are about Somalia.
She reminds the crowd exactly who they are here to represent — not this nation, but their homeland.
“We only live in this country as Somalis,” she declares.
“Anyone who sees us on the street knows immediately that we are Somalis.”
That is the line. That is the confession.
They are not here to assimilate; they are here to organize, consolidate power, and represent Somalia from within the American system.
This is not immigration.
This is imported tribal politics, foreign allegiance, and ideological colonization wrapped in the language of “community.”
Omar is not celebrating diversity - she’s commanding loyalty to a foreign identity.
And she’s doing it on American soil, under the banner of elected office.

An amateur playing ethnic politics with hardened professionals rarely works out well.
According to social media trends, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and her ex-husband Ahmed Hersi emerged as key figures on opposing sides of the political divide. Ilhan Omar, who openly supported Omar Fateh, was backed largely by members of the Daarood clan, while Ahmed Hersi, who mobilized an energetic social media campaign, stood firmly behind Jacob Frey — drawing significant support from the Hawiye community.
Following the announcement of Frey’s victory, jubilant celebrations erupted among Somali Hawiye youth and activists across Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms, where videos and livestreams showcased people waving American and Somali flags, chanting victory slogans, and congratulating Ahmed Hersi’s camp.
In contrast, Omar Fateh’s supporters expressed deep frustration and disappointment, accusing local political groups and social media influencers of dividing the community along tribal lines.
Intelschizo (@Schizointel) ~ I did not have Somali clan rivalries on my 2025 US domestic politics, bingo card honestly, it's kind of crazy that now to understand Minnesota politics you have to immerse yourself into the Somali clan structure and the fact that this is an actual thing to determine state elections is wild.

CheckMate Bilicsan (@Checkmatedsl) ~ 🚨 Ilhan Omar went into a full rage, lashing out after other Somalian clans refused to back her clansman, Fateh and instead voted for Jacob Frey, calling for rival clans to be expelled and pushed out, especially since they were translating her Somalian speaking videos to the American audience.
Minnesota politics are turning into a Somalian primitive clan war.

Reliable data on the exact number of Somalis in Minneapolis is more than a little unclear. In 2018, there are about 43,000 foreign-born Somalis in Minneapolis and some 94,000 spoke Somali as a first language. It is safe to say that both numbers are higher now. From my research, it seems that the Daarood and the Hawiye clans are the most numerous of the dozens of Somali clans in the U.S. It also seems, and I'm open to correction on this, that the Hawiye are more political that the Daarood. This is how one native Somali describes the clan system as practiced in Minneapolis:
Back to the question of whether people still continue to practice the clan system in the West. In Minnesota my elder cousins are all in clan committees. The clans are very organized and operate almost like life insurance. People are divided into small groups. They hold meetings at an elder clan member’s home who is trusted and has the best interest of the clan at heart. This person is responsible for informing clan members what is happening and collecting money for the benefit of the clan. Sometimes there will be a major thing happening where there is a death in a family and funeral expenses are needed. Other reasons for collecting money can be the famine where the collection of money is ongoing for a longer period. Other times money is collected on a regular basis to support schools, hospitals and orphan care in the region where the clan is from.
According to reports, the clan rivalry could spill over into the upcoming Congressional primary season where Ilhan Omar might face a primary challenge. In theory, an enterprising GOP candidate might be able to use this system to break the Democrat stranglehold on that community or neutralize it through infighting by the strategic use of "walking around money."
But there is a larger problem.
Ron DeSantis (@RonDeSantis) ~ How does importing ancient tribal blood feuds from halfway across the world into our country benefit the American people?
For many Republicans, mass immigration — no matter from where — is “good” so long as it’s legal.
Braindead thinking.
Indeed. Importing Somalian clan politics into the U.S. makes even less sense today than did importing Sicilian clans and vendettas during the early 1900s. These kinds of inward-focused primary groups inevitably become the locus of crime and political corruption. There is no reason that more people should speak Somali at home than there are recent immigrants. There is no reason why Somali clans should have any place in the U.S. political system.
It's even more general than that ... the seventh century death cult known as Islam doesn't belong in the civilized world, anywhere.
