Judge orders ICE agents to wear badges, stop using tear gas on journalists

As a federal judge heard arguments over National Guard deployment in Chicago, another one ruled Thursday requiring federal agents in the area to wear badges and banning them from using certain riot control weapons such as tear gas against peaceful protesters and journalists.
At a Wednesday hearing, Judge Sara Ellis said the preliminary injunction, which applies to northern Illinois, is “essentially directing them to follow their own rules, policies and regulations.”
