Hmmm ... but, THIS is no prediction. It is simply a helpful warning. It doesn't matter what men try to replace God with - money, political power, science, "artificial intelligence," or anything else - it won't work. We are NOT God and none of our delusions about becoming gods are going to come true. Such "best laid plans of mice and men" will always crash and burn in agony. God cannot be replaced. We would be better served to take our socks and shoes off, walk up to a brick wall, and kick it until our foot is a bloody stump. Only God is omnipotent, omniscient, righteous, and holy and He is the only One who is worthy and deserving of men's worship.

So, men should continue to strive and innovate, BUT they should also be careful not to allow their inventions and egos to lead them astray into unjustified delusions of grandeur.

Re: “Is this what the Bible refers towhen it says that they were trying to become like gods?”
You can't tell, can you? That's because the Bible's "predictions" are so vague that it takes an expert to even hazard a guess as to what they might mean. They might as well have been written by the King of Unclear Crap: Nostradamus.

Predictions that require deciphering and interpretation after the fact don't actually qualify as predictions. I've always believed that God would not play these sorts of games with us in a book that we're meant to take seriously.
