Citizenship. This is how it should be.

If your parents are born in the United States, and you are born in the United States then you’re a citizens.

If you are born here, but your parents are immigrants, you should not be a citizen. But your children would be citizens if they're born in the U.S.

Citizenship flows from the parent, not from the soil.

We already require a natural-born citizen to be Commander-in-Chief. It’s time to extend that same standard to Congress and all elected offices. The Founders were laser-focused on guarding our Republic from foreign influence—not out of hostility to immigrants, but out of loyalty to the American people.

John Jay urged Washington to ensure top leadership never “devolved on any but a natural born Citizen,” and Hamilton warned that foreign powers would try to gain “an improper ascendant in our councils.” Today, with dual loyalties, global money, and adversaries probing our politics, we should amend the Constitution so those who write our laws—and hold the public trust—owe their first and only political birthright to America—one nation. Undivided allegiance. 🇺🇸
