Re: “The Bible”
I think Bible Believers™ will tell you that they're just making the Bible *better* . . . identical to earlier Bibles that didn't have the paragraphs now being deleted. But the truth is that no one should trust anything that man has set his hands upon and even those earliest Bibles gave Sinner Man plenty of opportunity to work his magic.

The fact is, the Bible itself is a hodgepodge of other peoples' work. What happened to The Book of Jubilees? Some Bibles have it. Some do not. Read it and it sounds like something written by escapees from a looney bin, but it has its devout believers... as do the more conventional (but still implausible) Bible versions.

My advice, ribit, is to be careful about trodding on what other people believe. Whether it's one of the thousands of different Bibles, or the Qur'an, or the Book of Mormon, people have strong feelings about Holy books and are always SURE that the one they subscribe to is right. But none of us really know what's going on. If people want to believe the Bible... one of the Bibles... and look no deeper, I say let 'em. It's mostly harmless these days, after all. Hopefully they'll do the same for us.
