Matthew McConaughey is a very outspoken Texas Longhorns fan, but he had nothing to say on Saturday.
Ohio State took down Texas, 14-7, at Ohio Stadium on Saturday. The Buckeyes bested the Longhorns in a preseason matchup of top five teams. Ohio State, led by first-year quarterback Julian Sayin, took down Texas and first-year starting quarterback Arch Manning. Both teams entered the season with national title hopes and College Football Playoff expectations.
McConaughey, 55, has an official title at Texas. He's the Minister of Culture.

What is McConaughey's job at Texas, officially?
McConaughey, essentially, acts a a liaison between the school and the community of Austin, working with the athletic programs, coaches, students and more.
“Ministers of Culture outside America are in charge of overseeing youth, sports, music, and tourism and culture. What a great thing to be in charge of. Culture has been my greatest educator," he told Texas.
He added that he wants to have a deep legacy at Texas.
“I’ve got a family, man. I’m choosing legacy: things that will pay me back on the inside, my own spirit, and pay my family back. Not cash. Things of value. That’s cultivation. That’s good culture.”
McConaughey also teaches the “Script to Screen” film production class with lecturer and director Scott Rice in the Department of Radio-Television-Film at UT's Moody College of Communication.

McConaughey's telling response on Saturday
McConaughey was pumped to watch Texas take on Ohio State on Saturday. He was on the Texas sideline and he was tweeting before the game.
Well, yeah ... because you go out there and support your team. That's what good fans do.

Texas Longhorns (@TexasLonghorns) ~ It’s been an honor, Coach! @hookEm

But following the game, his response was ... nothing.
McConaughey did not tweet about the final result. Instead, he chose to tweet about Austin's soccer team, which he has a stake in.
Matthew McConaughey (@McConaughey) ~ Showed up. Showed out. Verde. @AustinFC
McConaughey likes to talk, but he clearly had nothing to say about his team's loss at Ohio State on Saturday.
There wasn't anything to say ... we got beat ... and now, it's time to move on down the road and prepare for the next game.
