35 years ago cables, chips power supply’s PCBs chassis displays ect were designed and manufactured in the United States. Kids today think that we wouldn’t have any electronics without the brains of Chinese engineers. It’s Chinese propaganda.

I ran a machine shop, wire room, and High bay assembly area in the 1980s. Everything we built was sourced United States.
I worked for TRW helping RF Micro Devices on commercializing the Gallium arsenide chip.

Their is a long list of American companies that designed and manufactured electronics in past decades.

Most electronic are built overseas now a days. But not to many years ago it was designed and built here.

A LOT of Motherboards are manufactured in TAIWAN. So are many other components like MEMORY (RAM) and some processors.

I have been building computers from scratch for a very long time for people and thisis what I had noticed.
