Professor.

Good food for deepr thought.. THAT's why YOU're
the professor.
SO, if Putin does not recognize the legitimacy of the Leader of Ukraine (Zelensky) maybe Ukraine should hold an election for the Presidency and see how it turns out. Voting polls should be heavily monitored by outside officials from different nations.

MAYBe this would end that notion which may have some validity but I really think its BS from Pooty Poot because Ukraine did not just roll over.. AND his mighty forces are not able to conquer Ukraine in totality , at least as of yet..

I think Trump might tell Pooty Poot to get his forces OUT of Ukraine which I think should happen.
Albeit Ukraine is NOT a member of Nato.

I do not want to see the US dragged into participation of yet another war on foreign soil. If we're gonna fight and die let it be to defend AMERICAN soil..

JMO....FWIW..

A not so small fact WE did not know about Putin, Ukraine.

Putin has NEVER had any intention of negotiating with Zelensky.

That is why the ONLY way ANY negotiations require the Curtain of US involvement to HIDE this fact.

WHICH IS: Putin does NOT recognize the legitimacy of the Ukrainian Government - AT ALL. And has been very vocal about stating so - a fact that the leftist media continuously hid from us - FOR YEARS.

The following paragraph excerpt states it clearly.

The issue of the legitimacy of the signatory from the Ukrainian side will need to be resolved in the event of reaching an agreement with Kiev, Lavrov continued. "Our president has repeatedly said that he is ready to meet, including with Mr. Zelensky, provided that all issues that require consideration at the highest level will be well-developed, and experts and government ministers will prepare appropriate recommendations. And, of course, on the condition that when, I hope, it comes to signing future agreements, the issue of the legitimacy of the person who will sign these agreements for the Ukrainian side will be resolved," he explained.

This explains a LOT that has gone in the past few decades of Russian aggression. They have NEVER considered Ukraine to be A Legitimate Sovereign Nation. They have ALWAYS considered it to be legitimately Russia - to hell with what the rest of the world may think. It puts the so-called East/West Ukraine 'Civil war' into a better perspective also.

I also believe this is the opinion of a certain poster who has not popped his head up recently, and explains his strenuous positions regarding this issue.

The REST of what LAVAROV (Russian) had to say is in this article - good info for ALL to keep in mind.
