A LAW stating that the budget cannot exceed the Federal INTAKE of revenue period should help that along with a statute that then curbs th elust for spending on PET projects of everybody..

Politiciaians are absolutely the worst at balancing a budget and spending within their limits..

They should be required to own and run small businesses.

They go belly up when run like the Federal government..

I have been asked before to run for congress from our district in Ohio and I refuse to consider it because of all t he corruption there is there and I am not at all interested in being exposed t it or having its dirt get on my clothes..

Most politicians become liars iffen they weren;t before.. I can't do that..

I am looking forward to being under a NEW government that is eternally pure where no corruption exists.. And I shouldn;t have all that much longer to wait for that blessed day..

Well, each department traditionally submits a budget for the coming fiscal year that is, at least, a little larger than the one for the year before. Sometimes, significantly larger. Please see the principle of "If you don't ask, you don't get." Problem is, this has compounded itself into a bloated behemoth over the years without anyone actually putting a foot down and saying, "STOP! We can do much better with less fat." Oh, many have TALKED a good game, but they VERY rarely have actually taken steps to trim down the beast ... until now, anyway.
