why does the executive branch have to come up with a national budget for spending, and it never seems to balance and is always grossly overspent and is in a huge deficit annually?
MAYBE there is a lot more FAT that could be trimmed.
DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard announced plans Wednesday to cut her agency's workforce by up to 40% in the coming weeks- and eliminate several offices that "politicized" the flow of critical information. ODNI is currently staffed by 1,800 employees, but is expected to only retain 1300. There are also other plans to have the DoD absorb some parts of ODNI, saving taxpayers up to $700M.
