I've been looking at the maps, Professor, and while Districts 30 & 33 have changed their shapes, they will now be predominantly Dallas and its southern suburbs, which should remain reliably blue.

The funny thing about the pre- and post-redistricting maps is that District 33 was far more gerrymandered BEFORE the current change.

For instance, District 33 snaked from western Dallas, up north around Irving, and then west to Fort Worth. The current District 33 congressman, Marc Veasey, is out of Fort Worth.

It looks like the changes to Crockett's current District 30 is that it is losing much of its Dallas contingent and comprising more of the southwestern and southern suburbs of Dallas. So, if Crockett is resident in Dallas proper, she will probably have to move from District 30 to contend in District 33. However, I do not see where this will necessarily mean that Crockett will lose her seat ... because District 33 will be mainly Dallas and reliably blue. If she loses out, it will be because another Democrat knocks her off.

The part I am loving is that my district will no longer dip down into Dallas proper after this redistricting. The past several congressional elections have resulted in 60/40 elections that have favored the Democrat. Now, my district will no longer be infected by all of those Dallas assholes and I can be represented by a rational Conservative who is actually faithful to the U.S. Constitution. The Dallas assholes will now have to comfort themselves with the ever-ridiculous Crockett. Looks like the northern Dallasites are gonna have to learn Ebonics in order to understand the ramblings of their representative. ROTFLMAO!

Here's a link to a site that has some pretty good before and after redistricting maps ...

Texas just FIRED Rep. Jasmine Crockett

The post refers to a recent redistricting in Texas, approved around August 20, 2025, which shifted five Republican seats, removed five Democratic seats, and eliminated Rep. Jasmine Crockett's 30th district, moving her into District 33, a move backed by a 2021 Texas Tribune report on GOP efforts to reshape congressional influence.
