Zim >>> Do Martian ice caps grow and shrink much in time with the earths ice caps? Or are Martian ice caps growing while the earths are shrinking?
The Martian ice caps grow and shrink on a Mars annual basis (of course) but the long term trend being in sync or out of sync with earth *ie. variations of solar constant* is ... unknown to me.
I highly doubt that any reasonable comparison can yet be made. Not enough 'observation time' of Mars (up close and personal, detailed) has elapsed (imo) for that determination to have been made. I am sure, though, that various people have looked at that issue, and may have taken a stab at it. I would strongly question such a comparison, no matter which way it went.
On 'lost data', Anglia was bad. Remember, Anglia also faked a lot of crap - their big 'email' scandal. NASA's destruction of raw satellite data (climate stuff) was worse, criminal. Happened under Hussein Ø'fuhrer.
