Greg Abbott has called down the thunder on Texas Democrats who are fleeing the state to avoid doing their jobs. Imagine what would happen if you told your boss you weren't coming in because you didn't want to do your job.
That's basically what these Democrats have done, except their boss isn't Abbott; it's the people of Texas.

“Democrats hatched a deliberate plan not to show up for work, for the specific purpose of abdicating the duties of their office and thwarting the chamber's business. That amounts to an abandonment or forfeiture of an elected state office,” Abbot said
“The derelict Democrat House members must return to Texas and be in attendance when the House reconvenes at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025. For any member who fails to do so, I will invoke Texas Attorney General Opinion No. KP-0382 to remove the missing Democrats from membership in the Texas House.”
Abbott also added they may be committing a FELONY by fleeing in this manner. Charge them too!
This of course upset Marxist (he can claim he's not, but PUH-LEASE, at this point, they all are), Julián Castro:

Poor Julián ... he's only 50 years old and he's already so bitter about being an irrelevant has-been. He was Mayor of San Antonio from 2009 to 2014, Secretary of HUD from 2014 to 2017, and ran for POTUS until he dropped out in January of 2020 to endorse another loser - Lizzie Fauxcahontas Warren. BWHA HA HA HA HA HA!!! He and Beto must have SO much fun at their annual pity parties, don'tcha know!
