Creationism is NOT science.
You can't prove God made the heavens and the earth and everything else . . . And I can't prove God didn't.
But saying 'God Did It' does absolutely nothing to 'help' with various problems.
Understanding some of the concepts behind the 'Theory of Evolution' offer 'mechanisms' for understanding how viruses and other germs mutate and could lead to new cures for old diseases.
Does God want us to just say 'It Is The Will Of Allah' and we must suffer the diseases? Or would God want us to apply these big brains he gave us to try and understand everything around us and find the medicines and cures?
Are all those fossil chains and dinosaur bones proof of evolution and a long history our planet has gone through? Or are the Creationists right and the earth was created by God some 6,000 years ago? Did God plant all that fossil evidence and create the nuclear isotopes used in dating the planet?
The fossil records. Theory of Evolution. Theories about asteroids slamming into the earth in the past and eradicating almost all life. Ice ages and more ice ages. All of these things give my fertile imagination grist to chew on.
But 'God Did IT!' . . . What's the fun in that?
