THIS is the day that the LORD has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
My grand daughter is getting ready to take a missionary trip to Thailand with the softball team. As captain of the team and the league's MVP, she has become a leader from a shy little girl we had the privilege of helping to raise thru her elementary school years.
She has come a long way since and really grown.
But she has a tremendously sweet disposition and is loving and kind.
So miz micro and I are venturing over to my daughter's house soon to help my granddaughter with some spending money on her trip so she can enjoy herself. We can't take it with us and we would rather the grand kids enjoy things at their current ages , young adults, so the have some great memories.
Her brother is a special young man as well. Quiet spoken with a gentle disposition its hard to imagine he was the ferocious middle linebacker in southern Ohio that he was. Mild mannered young man.
He is going to do some landscaping projects for me since he's been working in landscaping for a very reputable company for the past two summers. I already told him he ain't doing it for free and HE is in charge of the entire project. He will get paid well for his labor and creativity.
I am not strong enough anymore to do a lot of physical labor and am restricted on the weight I can life from my heart doctor. 20 pounds ain't much. But that's my orders.
I really don't expect to live a whole lot longer as I keep getting more tired more readily and have to lay down. Doc said on average between 5 - 10 years is norm for Heart failure for men my age. I can feel it in how easily tired I get.
Now I just want to use what GOD gave me to be a blessing to my grandkids and to Ministry of people in need.
I had so much joy yesterday when miz micro and I went to the Beauty parlor to get her hair styled.
She loved it and the young lady who was the stylist that does a great job with her and is working for a living to make ends meet was happy that my wife really liked her work.
I paid the salon's bill and then gave her a fresh $20.00 bill for a tip and told her to put it in her pocket. Something small but meaningful for her life.
Hoping that she got several tips yesterday that added up.
Anyway, we will be off to the bank in a few minutes for my granddaughter and on to her house to see my daughter who went thru a spinal fusion surgery like mine a few weeks ago.
I am already very tired just sitting at my desk so I think I will go get into the recliner for a few minutes.
I'll catch y'all later Lord willing..
Have a wonderful and a blessed day everyone. Be a blessing to someone today and make their day. You will get great joy and happiness for that act of kindness..
later,
micro...
