Now, thanks to @chuckgrassley's new GAO report, we also know Rowe, along with former USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle, knew about the heightened Iranian threat against Trump 10 days before the Butler rally but withheld that information from key USSS agents on the ground doing the advance security work for Butler.
Former acting Secret Service Director Ron Rowe recently took a new lucrative job at the Chertoff Group, which is a New York-based firm founded and run by Michael Chertoff, the second Homeland Security secretary who served under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, according to his Rowe's LinkedIn account and a petition circulating within the Secret Service community calling for immediate agency reforms and accountability.

Here’s former acting Secret Service Director Ron Rowe’s LinkedIn announcement that he was hired by the Chertoff Group last month after he remained on the Secret Service payroll listed as a “senior advisor” most of this year, so he could extend his highly compensated taxpayer-funded salary as long as possible.
Rowe was directly involved in the absurd decisions/outdated protocol to deny top security assets to Trump and his rallies because he was a former president, multiple sources have told me. When senators asked about it during Congressional hearings last year, Rowe denied any involvement, but my sources stand by their story.
NEVERMIND that Trump is who he is and for years had an active Iranian threat to his life and broke the mold in terms of his presidential campaigns, attracting tens of thousands of people.
The USSS would not tell me exactly what rules allowed him to remain on the payroll so long, only that he was using up all his sick leave and vacation days.
