new one: Antiphrasis - good word to add to my lexicon.

Not quite appropriate for this case, sardonic is best fit so far. Kinda like when she says, 'Oh, just what a lovely evening this turned out to be.' Well, that one might be a tad more pure sarcasm than a good example of being sardonic. Neither apparently transfer well to print media.
