Zim: "Given that Putin has brought Russia over a Million dead or wounded Russians in his little misadventure . . ."

You keep quoting that number. Please give me the reputable source? How many dead Ukranians, also?
...

Right after asking that question, I did a quick search and -- guess what?

http://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgeqddw1v1do.

(BBC is not exactly a "Russia-phile" source, nor even neutral, so you can bet they did their best to misreport if they had any room to do that)

FWIW, there was recently a FORMAL EXCHANGE of dead soldiers between Russia and Ukraine. THE RED CROSS OVERSAW, AND DOCUMENTED, THE EXCHANGE. This was carefully watched by the international community and is a pretty good barometer of how the war is going and "source" credibility. It seems like the Ukranian side kind of got flustered after all their big talk:

>Russia promptly handed over 6,060 dead Ukraine soliders.

Ukraine could only scrounge up (with extraordinarily great difficulty and delay) 76 Russian soldiers.

That is almost a 100 to 1 discrepancy, Zim.

Oh, and shortly after this, Russia said it "was ready to hand over another 2,239 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers." Silence so far from Ukraine.

You need to stop drinking the Kool-Aide, Zim.

So, that is one of my sources. I also follow correspondents on the ground.

A source doesn't guaranteed truth, of course. But YOU should suspect that if Ukraine was doing such a great job against Russia in combat that they wouldn't keep losing, losing, and then losing more and more towns, villages, vital strategic points, etc.

And they would have pictures, and bodies, and other evidence to support their claims? Instead of just words from a comedian -- who has NO credibility with the Ukrainian people anymore. And doesn't dare face a vote.

The steady gains by Russia are not open to debate. Which -- you should suspect -- is precisely why PRO-Ukraine-War news sources have grown decidedly quiet in their reporting of this tragic event.

You have got to stop drinking the Kool-Aid, Zim.

Fiz > that Russia simply "invaded" the Donbas (eastern Ukraine) out of greed. The truth is, that most of those people were probably delighted when Russia first came in

Given that Putin has brought Russia over a Million dead or wounded Russians in his little misadventure . . .

I find it impossible to believe that Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014 'out of the goodness of his heart'. No sir. Crimea had all those shipyards and docks and other industrial goodies. Putin invaded in order to steal the expensive real estate.

Didn't you yourself state that War ought to be conducted such that it turned a profit?

Zim.
