I was trying to sell my house and move then. Interest rates for a mortgage here were 21%.

Yep. Its kinda a good thing it prevented me from selling my house. But Carter was a peanut farmer. He shoulda stuck to what his strong suit was.

What we have learned over many decades of life that crises come and go and the sky never falls.

Yet we fret over things we have absolutely no control over. It took me a while to learn to let go and let GOD be in control. SO I just turned over control and authority over to HIM who knows the future, present and past and dwells in all of them.

ONE DAY we will have a permanent home that is eternal and never changes. The Son of God will be in the center of our country and HE ALONE will be in charge and control of all things for all eternity.

I need to get my vocal chords tuned up so I can sing praises to HIM who is worthy to sit upon the Throne and rule and reign for ll eternity with HIS own who love Him..

...I thought the high interest rates were Carters legacy. I seem to remember interest rates at 17% and being told they would never go back down.
