Around 30 Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out strikes in Iran earlier on Sunday, striking multiple military targets using more than 60 munitions, the IDF announced on Sunday.
The targets were based on military intelligence from the IDF's Intelligence Directorate.
IAF fighter jets targeted the Yazd region for the first time, striking the Imam Hussein Strategic Missile Headquarters. The headquarters stored Khorrmashahr long-range missiles and was a launch point for around 60 missile that were fired towards Israeli territory.
Striking military targets, missile launchers
The IAF also targeted sites in Isfahan, Bushehr, and Ahvaz, such as missile launchers, military sites that are producing air defense batteries, headquarters of the Third UAV Brigade, and a UAV storage facility located near the headquarters.
Israeli fighter jets spotted Iranian troops preparing missile launchers and promptly targeted and neutralized the threats.
"The IDF will continue to reach and strike in any area within Iranian territory to eliminate threats posed to the State of Israel," the IDF said in a statement.
