June 21, 2025 Once you got over the surprise news that Trump ordered an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities Saturday, you probably quickly realized that hysterical Democrats would come down on the wrong side of the matter, because nowadays they seem to choose the unpopular side of every 80-20 issue. Although the pre-emptive strike against the antisemitic, America-hating Islamic Republica appears to have been a spectacular success and made the world a safer place, the Usual Grouchy Subjects in the party just can’t stand to see the U.S. winning. The great philosopher and legal theorist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) immediately decided it was an impeachable offense by the commander in chief: 
 Wow, AOC—could this be worse than the phone call he had with another head of state that you guys tried to impeach him for the first time? Because that was oh-so-dastardly. Maybe you can be the lead impeachment manager; that would be some epic theater. But she’s not the only Democrat gnashing her teeth this Saturday night; former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s failed replacement, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), also has really hurt feelings:
“First, the Trump administration bears the heavy burden of explaining to the American people why this military action was undertaken,” the feckless lawmaker wrote. It reads like parody. There are very few adult Americans who don’t know that Iran has been calling for death to America for almost 50 years and is close to acquiring nuclear weaponry. Not only do they pose an existential threat to Israel, but they are a clear and present danger to the U.S. as well. Does Hakeem think we’re all in kindergarten? You knew ever-aggrieved schoolmarm Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) would have to jump in and attempt to rap the knuckles of Trump, because that is one of the few things she seems to do anymore. “This is a horrific war of choice,” Warren wailed. However, it is not a “war,” it was an action, and one that is arguably long overdue, as president after president has punted the issue down the road for over four decades.
Trump’s decision is weighty, and there could indeed be negative consequences. But while the Democrats shriek and cry, they have done nothing about the problem for more than a generation:
There was, however, one Democrat senator who took a different stance: Pennsylvania’s John Fetterman, who has unexpectedly been strong in his support for Israel and has been outspoken about his alarm over Iran’s actions. This despite much of his party’s open antisemitism.
While I don’t deny that Iran could retaliate—there are concerns over sleeper cells here in the U.S. that could soon attempt terroristic acts—the Democrat hysteria does little to solve the problem. Iranian-backed proxies have been attacking and killing our people for years, so it’s not like this is a new threat. Preventing the demented mullahs from getting nuclear weapons was a must, but the progressives in all their TDS-riddled narratives try to cloud even that obvious fact.
