Wow. "Missile" is spelled with TWO i's. When I saw that you'd made that fundamental error, I refused to read the rest of your message.

Thanks for the insight, Rbit. I just gave you a star for reminding me about the mountains. Those remind me of Afghanistan a bit?

And we know very well how well those sorts of rugged landscapes and hard-living-types it selects for, have exhausted many invasions many times: Russia and then the US most recently.

I'm not saying how this is going to turn out. I am mostly saying that "regime change" either needs to happen very soon or becomes increasingly unlikely anything short of years. And "years" of hand-to-hand, or even missile-to-missle is not part of Israel's strength.

Israel's "dome" of supposedly “impenetrable” high-tech anti-missles has been pierced repeatedly already.

I expect Israel (or, at least, their warmonger leadership faction) gambled ...and appears to be in a pickle or sorts. I don't think they were expecting Iran to be nearly this formidable to topple.

And, again, I want to remind everyone that CHINA is the United State's MAIN competitor for the throne of leadership in the decades ahead. China isn't wasting much of its economic power on THE ECONOMIC *WASTE* OF MUNITIONS. Obviously it has weapons, but its main weapons so far have been economic, psychological, and geopolitical. Everything it had, until recently, it got the US and other supposedly “capitalist” countries to GIVE to it. That's all part of http://suntzuartofwar.org/

Munitions are pure expense unless they somehow convert to you conquering lands so you can harness them to produce natural resources or net-economic flows back to your country. A certain amount of munitions are doubtless necessary. But don't think they actually CREATE wealth. China is playing this waiting-game with extreme patience and craft. Russia, on the other hand, is planning to recoup the economic cost of its war by heavily milking captured territory and resources.
