Iran
The name "Iran" originates from the Middle Persian word "Ērān," which means "land of the Iranians". It derives from the Old Iranian term arya- or ārya- which is a self-designation, possibly meaning "compatriot". In Modern Persian, "Īrān" refers to the lands inhabited by the Aryans. The name dates back to the beginning of the Kingdom of Persia.
...Iranians are not arabs, they are Persians. (historically speaking)
