...if da pilot thought he needed more thrust he might have cut off the generators that ran off the engine and then run essential electric systems off the propeller drive source.

Unless they find that the fuel was contaminated or a bizarre double-bird-strike took out both engines.

It does look like the RAT deployed, though. I don't have an alternate explanation for that. It implies engine failure, not pilot error.

I note what you said, though: "if true." It might not be true. The video could be fake.
