Re: “I don't think I understand your problem, De.”
An example of my problem is that the Google Chrome browser has disallowed the only decent ad-blocker, Ublock Origin. I *hate* being blasted with ads, many of which appear on top of the articles I want to read until I figure out how to make them go away. If I've got one of the inferior ad-blockers, I instead get messages saying an ad-blocker has been detected and won't I please disable it? That's just as bad.

BUT... Google Chrome is the only browser that supports some of the extensions I really like - such as DRAGON WEB EXTENSIONS and READ ALOUD.

I hope that makes it clearer.

I find myself in the awkward position of needing to use an alternate browser until I find an article worth reading, then bringing it up in Chrome, dealing with the ads, and using READ ALOUD to read the thing since my vision is pretty bad at the computer's distance.

I could give you other examples, but they are just more of the same: I'd like to stop using Chrome but there isn't a good alternative.
