Oh? mt said that something was established. It wasn't. For a particular multi-universe scenario, he'd be right. But there are others in which he isn't.

If a hypothesis is made and there is ANY scenario in which the hypothesis is incorrect, the hypothesis is wrong. Not kinda right, but wrong.

Well ... not to put too fine a point on it ... but, in all honesty, you can proffer a competing theory, but you can't "refute" his statement. 

Refute: (1) prove (a statement or theory) to be wrong or false; disprove.
(2) prove that (someone) is wrong.
(3) deny or contradict (a statement or accusation).
