No, I was not kidding. Scientific consensus has ALWAYS been a lazy way of 'argument by authprity'.

Just because there is a so-called consensus that something is true - adds not ONE IOTA of merit to that consensus actually being correct.

As I said, Galileo is laughing.

Not a joke - not by a country mile, sir.

I know mt was only joking, but for those with less science knowledge than he has: "Science by consensus" is when scientists proclaim something to be true BECAUSE the majority of of them say it's so. It isn't what I posted, where they are in agreement and have a consensus opinion. mt was just funnin' us!
