California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) took his frustrations to social media on Saturday as President Donald Trump federalized 2,000 California National Guard troops to quell anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.
Trump sent in the National Guard after two days of rioting in which black-clad radicals attacked federal law enforcement officials who were arresting illegal aliens in the city.

The rioters set fire to cars, tagged federal buildings with graffiti, and attacked federal officers.
Karoline Leavitt (@PressSec) ~ In recent days, violent mobs have attacked ICE Officers and Federal Law Enforcement Agents carrying out basic deportation operations in Los Angeles, California.
These operations are essential to halting and reversing the invasion of illegal criminals into the United States.
In the wake of this violence, California’s feckless Democrat leaders have completely abdicated their responsibility to protect their citizens.
That is why President Trump has signed a Presidential Memorandum deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to address the lawlessness that has been allowed to fester.
The Trump Administration has a zero tolerance policy for criminal behavior and violence, especially when that violence is aimed at law enforcement officers trying to do their jobs.
These criminals will be arrested and swiftly brought to justice.
The Commander-in-Chief will ensure the laws of the United States are executed fully and completely.
City and state officials did little to stop the violence, other than offering their support for “immigrants” and criticizing the Trump administration.
Newsom was furious — especially after the administration hinted that Marines, too, could be deployed:

The @DeptofDefense is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles. And, if violence continues, active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized — they are on high alert.
Governor Gavin Newsom (@CAgovernor) ~ The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle.
Don't give them one.
Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.
Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) ~ The Secretary of Defense is now threatening to deploy active-duty Marines on American soil against its own citizens.
This is deranged behavior.
Governor Hair Gel is desperate because he sees his prospects for running for POTUS evaporating right before his eyes.
“First Partner” Jennifer Siebel Newsom weighed in, and the governor reposted her comment as well:

Weaponizing protest to justify federal crackdowns is a dangerous precedent.
Ah, sweetie ... you're so adorably naive and stupid. Have you seen the violent rap sheets of the illegal invaders that ICE is picking up off your streets? If you were left alone with them, you'd be raped until you were comatose, sliced & diced, and murdered.
Newsom did little to stop the riots in 2020, when Black Lives Matter activists trashed the city for days.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shared video footage of the violent protests and rioting when people spray painted anti-police and ICE sentiments on cars, signs, and buildings.
“The violent targeting of law enforcement in Los Angeles by lawless protestors is despicable. These men and women work every day, putting their lives on the line, to protect and defend the lives of American citizens. Mayor Bass, ICE is not responsible for ‘sowing a sense of terror’ the protestors YOU enabled are,” the agency wrote:

Over 800 rioters TRAPPED DHS agents in a garage, and BREACHED the building, causing mass damage.
NATIONAL GUARD MUST BE DEPLOYED TO THESE SITUATIONS, and people MUST be taken into federal custody.

We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their VERY SLOW PERMITTING disaster. Federal permitting is complete!), unable to to handle the task. These Radical Left protests, by instigators and often paid troublemakers, will NOT BE TOLERATED. Also, from now on, MASKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to be worn at protests. What do these people have to hide, and why??? Again, thank you to the National Guard for a job well done!
