My weight loss stalled after May 23rd when I was first down 20 lbs. It probably didn't help that I went to a Chinese buffet on the 29th and gained 4 lbs! But aside from that, it's mostly been at 21 ± 2 lbs.

Tonight I'm down 22 lbs and feeling optimistic - mostly because I had three sandwiches for dinner and am still near my all-time low. 25 pounds is important. It's my first target. At that point, I'll incorporate some meat and eggs into my diet and see if the weight loss continues. (I think my current diet is bad for my muscles. Meat and eggs, along with exercise, should help.) My plan is to take a week off starting July 4th, then continue dieting long term, until I'm all the way back to what doctors recommend.

The halfway point of my ninety day diet, and I've lost 21 lbs. Right now I'm down 23, but my official weigh-ins are at night so the 23 doesn't count.

I'll end the diet for a week starting on the Fourth of July. Then I'll continue with something more like what CTJ did... eating some meat but still avoiding carbs. It's a shame I have to change anything -- what I'm doing works well and isn't much bother. But I think I need protein or I'll lose too much muscle.
